Amcon Pool and Spa was founded by Tyler McCaffery and Jeff Schauf, who share a passion for building well-designed pools and creating outdoor environments where families can spend time together.
Their partnership brings together two complementary strengths: hands-on construction leadership and thoughtful project planning. From the first consultation through the final stages of construction, the goal is to keep the process organized, transparent, and collaborative.
Alongside their experienced crew and trusted industry partners—including designers, engineers, and specialty trades—the team builds pools that are not only visually striking but structurally sound and built to perform well in the Pacific Northwest environment.

Tyler McCaffery
Co-Founder | Operations and Construction Management
Tyler oversees day-to-day operations and stays closely involved throughout the construction phases of each project. He works directly with the crew to coordinate schedules, manage jobsite activity, and ensure each phase of the build is completed properly.
With a long family history connected to the pool industry in Washington, Tyler grew up around pool construction and developed an early understanding of what it takes to build pools that last. Today, he brings that perspective to the field, focusing on craftsmanship, efficiency, and getting the details right.
During construction, Tyler helps turn the plan into reality—coordinating the crew, working through challenges as they arise, and keeping projects moving forward. Clients appreciate knowing there is a hands-on owner involved throughout the build, especially on more complex projects where timing and coordination matter.
Tyler enjoys the hands-on nature of the work and takes pride in seeing a project come together step by step as the space transforms into something families will enjoy for years to come.
Jeff Schauf
Co-Founder | Sales and Project Planning
Jeff is often the first person clients meet at Amcon Pool and Spa. He leads initial consultations, helps shape the vision for each project, and guides the early planning phase so everything starts off clear and well organized.
With a background in large-scale construction, Jeff brings a practical, detail-minded approach to early decision-making—things like layout, feasibility, and what it will take to build the project the right way. He also helps coordinate the early stages of each project, working with designers and other professionals when needed so everything is in place before construction begins.
Clients appreciate Jeff’s straightforward, down-to-earth style and the time he takes to walk through ideas and options without pressure. His goal is to make the process feel manageable and to help clients feel confident in the plan before moving forward.
Jeff enjoys working directly with clients early in the process and helping turn an initial idea into a clear plan that fits both the property and the way the space will be used.
